Battling Poor Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality is just as crucial as temperature control. For this client, whose family suffered from severe seasonal allergies and asthma, the existing HVAC system was a liability. While the heating and cooling units were relatively new, the system was actively circulating microscopic dust, pet dander, and stagnant air, which was exacerbating their respiratory symptoms.

Engineering a Clean Air Environment

Tempra was brought in to engineer a comprehensive air quality overhaul without unnecessarily replacing the home's functional AC and furnace. We designed a multi-stage purification loop to scrub the air every time the blower motor engages.

The air quality overhaul consisted of three main phases:

• Particulate Filtration: Integrated whole-home HEPA filtration system.

• Biological Neutralization: Installed UV-C germicidal coil scrubbers.

• Moisture Control: Tied in active whole-home dehumidifier.

A Breath of Fresh Air

The home's air is now continuously cycled, scrubbed, and purified. The addition of the dehumidifier has made the air feel crisper and cooler, while the HEPA and UV-C integrations have provided the family with a clinical-grade breathing environment, drastically reducing their daily allergy symptoms.
